According to the Vedic texts, there are basically 12 Jyotirlingas. All the Jyotirlingas are mentioned in the holy, “Shiva Purana”. NageshwaraJyotirlinga temple is different from all other Jyotirlinga. The only reason is the facing angle of Linga. The linga in the NageshwaraJyotirlinga temple is facing the south direction.
